"Thorin" is a fantastic young future riding, show or stallion prospect. He has been handled daily since birth, is very smart, friendly, easy to catch and learns fast. He has inherited his sire’s build, having a lot of bone and substance and is expected to mature medium. He is very athletic with lovely gaits and has already proven himself in the show ring. 

In 2020, due to Covid, the only shows we had available to us were virtual shows. At approximately 1 month of age, Thorin competed in the 2020 Tegan Summer Virtual Welsh Show (via video). He won Section B Reserve Champion with a score of 74%. The judge’s comments included “Nice ground covering walk”, “Love his topline” and “Lovely colt with nice shoulder and lots of pony character!”

Sire: Midnight Sugar Ray – 13.3hh Imported Section B Welsh Stallion. He has won numerous championships on the line, in both the United States and Canada including:

· 2020 Supreme Champion

Ray’s bloodlines heavily feature Gayfields ponies and he has a true-to-type Welsh build, with a lot of bone and substance. Many people who have seen him in person and watched his movement have remarked that “he looks a pony sized Warmblood”.
